About Our Work
Editorial Policy
Last updated: 13/05/2026
Humraz AI publishes evidence-based sexual wellness and health content in Roman Urdu and English for Pakistani, Indian, and South Asian audiences. We believe people deserve honest, respectful health information in the language they actually read — without stigma, without judgement, and without the half-truths that fill most of the internet on these topics.
This page describes how we research, write, fact-check, update, and correct our content. It also explains our sources, our use of AI tools, and how to reach us if you spot something wrong.
Our mission
Sexual and reproductive health is one of the most under-served topics in South Asian publishing. Cultural taboos, language gaps, and a flood of unreliable "hakeem" marketing make it hard for ordinary readers to find accurate information. Our work tries to close that gap. We write the kind of articles we would want our own family and friends to read — clear, accurate, and free from shame.
Editorial process
Every article on Humraz AI goes through the following steps before publication:
- Topic selection. We pick topics based on real questions readers search for, not what is most lucrative or dramatic. We avoid promoting unproven treatments, scare-mongering content, or anything that exploits insecurity.
- Research. Each article is researched against peer-reviewed sources and authoritative medical organisations. See the sources list below.
- Drafting. A writer drafts the article, using clear language and structured headings. We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and editing (see the AI use section).
- Fact-check. An editor verifies every medical claim, statistic, and recommendation against a primary source. If a claim cannot be verified, it is removed.
- Safety review. Articles are reviewed to ensure they include appropriate disclaimers, encourage professional consultation where relevant, and never recommend unsafe practices or unproven products.
- Publication. Each article includes the publication date and is signed by the editorial team. Updates are dated separately.
- Maintenance. Articles are reviewed at least every 12 months and updated when new evidence emerges.
Our sources
We rely on primary medical literature and well-established authoritative organisations. Our standard reference set includes:
- World Health Organization (WHO) — global health guidelines and statistics
- Mayo Clinic — patient-facing clinical content
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) and PubMed — peer-reviewed medical research
- American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) — women's health guidelines
- American Urological Association (AUA) — men's urological health guidelines
- NHS (UK) — patient-facing clinical guidance
- Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) — local regulatory and clinical context
- Centers for Disease Control (CDC) — public health data
- Cochrane Reviews — for meta-analyses of treatments
When we cite a specific study or statistic, we link directly to the source where reasonable. We never invent statistics, fabricate quotes, or attribute claims to medical authorities that did not make them.
Medical review status
We are transparent about this: Humraz AI is currently produced by an editorial team and does not yet have a credentialed medical doctor on staff as a regular reviewer. We compensate for this by:
- Citing only authoritative medical sources for every claim
- Avoiding any specific medical advice for individual cases
- Consistently directing readers to consult qualified doctors for their own situations
- Including a medical disclaimer on every article
As the publication grows we plan to onboard a Pakistani MBBS doctor as a regular reviewer for all medical articles. When that happens, the reviewer's name and credentials will appear on each article they have reviewed, along with the review date. Until then, treat our content as evidence-based health journalism — not personal medical advice.
Use of AI tools
We use modern AI tools (including Claude, ChatGPT, and similar models) for research assistance, drafting support, editing, and translation between English and Roman Urdu. We disclose this openly because we believe transparency about how content is produced is more important than pretending all writing happens in a vacuum.
However:
- No article is published as raw AI output. A human editor reviews, fact-checks, edits, and signs off on every article before publication.
- AI is not the source of medical claims. Every medical statement traces back to an authoritative source listed above. AI is used for writing, not for inventing facts.
- We do not generate fake author identities. Our byline is the editorial team, not a fabricated "Dr. Smith" or fictional reviewer.
- Photos and illustrations may be AI-generated or stock — we never use AI to create images of supposed "real" doctors, patients, or testimonials.
Corrections and feedback
If you find a factual error in any article, please email us at contact@humraz.fit with the article URL and a description of the issue. We take corrections seriously and will:
- Review the claim against our sources within 48 hours
- Update the article promptly if the correction is valid
- Add a visible "Last updated" date showing when the correction was made
- For substantive corrections, add a note at the end of the article explaining what changed
- Thank you for the feedback — accurate health information benefits everyone
Independence and conflicts of interest
Humraz AI is an independent publication. As of the last update of this policy:
- We have no financial relationship with any pharmaceutical company, supplement brand, telemedicine service, hakeem business, or healthcare provider.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage of any product or service.
- If we begin accepting sponsorships, affiliate revenue, or advertising in the future, all such relationships will be clearly disclosed on the relevant article and in this policy.
- We do not promote specific brands of medication, supplements, or "sexual wellness" products. When we mention specific products, it is for context only — never as endorsement.
What we do not do
We have firm limits on the kind of content we will not publish, even if it would attract traffic:
- We do not promote unproven "hakeem" remedies, secret powders, or bazaari pills
- We do not run clickbait headlines or fear-based health content
- We do not publish sexually explicit material — our content is educational and respectful
- We do not target minors — our content is for adults (18+) only
- We do not provide personalised medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations
- We do not republish or copy content from other publications
Audience and accessibility
Our primary audience is Pakistani, Indian, and South Asian diaspora adults seeking information on sexual health, hormonal wellness, relationships, and related topics. We publish in:
- Roman Urdu — for accessibility in South Asia where Urdu script is less commonly typed and English fluency varies
- English — for international and English-fluent South Asian audiences
All articles are written for general adult readers, not medical professionals. We aim for a reading level accessible to most secondary-school readers.
Privacy
For details on how we handle reader data, please see our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell user data, we use minimal analytics, and we do not require registration to read articles.
